How much are Marching Band Fees this year?
$400: covers transportation, props, staff fees, shoes, gloves, band tee shirt,
uniform cost, and UT trip
What other fees will there be?
Chaperones attending the UT trip, concert attire for the spring, Winter
Guard/Winter Percussion participants, Spring out of town trips
How can I make a payment?
Paypal on AVHS website (donate icon), drop payment in lock box, IBA transfers, Payment at school bank, or contact Treasure for alternate methods.
How does the IBA thing work?
Each student will have an account for fundraised funds; funds may then be used for any band expense. Fees must be covered first before any other expense.
What is the fastest way to raise funds?
Fundraisers at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Scrip orders
Can I withdraw cash from IBA?
No
Can I transfer IBA funds to another student?
IBA funds may only be transferred to a sibling.
What happens to unused IBA funds?
IBA funds will carry over year after year, when the student is no longer in
band, funds may be transferred to a sibling’s IBA or to the General funds
only.
How do I know my IBA balance?
IBA balances are available any time by contacting the Treasurer
What does the band do to collect unpaid fees?
This year certified mailed letters will go out for outstanding fees after they are past due, at the end of the school year, the band is required to turn in outstanding fees to the school bank, the school sends notices home. Students may not graduate until all fees are paid.
Why did I get a letter from the school stating I owe money if I have been doing IBA fundraisers?
After outstanding fees are sent to the school bank an update will be made once per month. Therefore the school figure may not always be correct. To receive the most up to date balance contact the Treasurer
What’s the difference, IBA fundraisers vs. General funds fundraisers?
All fundraisers are important. IBA fundraisers help students pay their fees, General funds fundraisers help keep band fees low for students.
